Novapak Receives Schering-Plough 2005 Supplier Appreciation Award

Airopak Corporation received the "2005 Supplier Appreciation Award" from Schering-Plough for the second consecutive year.

BATON ROUGE, LA — Schering-Plough Animal Health Corporation presented its "2005 Supplier Appreciation Award" to Airopak Corporation, Manchester, PA, on April 18, 2006, following a luncheon and tour of Schering-Plough's Baton Rouge facility.

Glenda Fefee, Schering-Plough's supervisor of material management/buyer, presented the award to Airopak's Felicia Gilbert, customer service representative; Rich Simmons, quality manager; and Alan Wood, vice president of business development. Schering-Plough presents the award to its top five suppliers based on key performance indicators in delivery, quality and customer service during the calendar year. "Airopak received the award for 100% delivery and quality, which signifies that they had no issues for that year," explained Fefee.

Airopak has supplied Schering-Plough Animal Health with F-Style gallon in-line fluorinated containers for approximately 16 years. "Airopak is the only supplier we've been buying from for this length of time," said Fefee. "The company is also our only certified supplier. Each shipment of F-Style bottles is evaluated and consistently meets specifications, which has allowed us to reduce the number of bottles tested." In the past year, Airopak has also started supplying Schering-Plough with 1 liter and 2.5 liter custom HDPE bottles used in the treatment of livestock in Europe.

Airopak, a subsidiary of Novapak Corporation, Eatontown, NJ, also received Schering-Plough's Supplier Appreciation Award in 2004.
